East Coast Adventure Centre Day One

14th May 2024
Twenty-four children accompanied by Mr. Pollard, Paula and Laura headed off for Kilbroney Forest Park for their first stop. Two mini buses met the big coach and took their precious cargo to East Coast Adventure Centre in  Rostrevor.
What a beautiful place high up in the hills. The children met their instructors and were shown their rooms and had a quick unpack and explore of the centre.
A very filling and tasty lunch follwed which was enjoyed by everyone. After lunch there were team games in the big barn which the children loved then archery which was also a great success.
After tea the children had a little time to relax and Mrs. McIlwaine came up to visit. As the weather was a little damp    we all had a trip to to the shop for a few treats and to spend some money.
We went back to the centre again and the stove was lit in the little hut for a master class in marshmallow toasting. Everyone enjoyed their marshmallow and then it was time for pyjamas and a little supper. Then bed.
Day One was a great success, all tired but in good form.
