We have all had a fantastic first day in Co. Down at the Kilbroney Centre.  After room allocations and time to fine our bearings, we prepared for giant paddle boarding in the sea after lunch, with everybody working well together (16 children per board) to control the huge boards!  Most impressive was the fact that every child and staff member plucked up the courage to jump in numerous times...

Our P1 and P2 pupils enjoyed a fantastic Shared Education day at Gosford Forest Park  on Tuesday. The children loved exploring the park, taking part in activities, and spending time learning and playing together. It was a fun‑filled day that everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

This morning, our P1 and P2 pupils performed a lovely Easter assembly , which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. We were also treated to some very thoughtful prayers written and shared by our P6 class , making the assembly extra special. As part of their Rainforests topic, Primary 6 have been looking at the work of French artist Henri Rousseau.  Rousseau painted around twenty rainforest themed paintings, despite never leaving France! Friday, P6/7 had a fantastic day at Gosford Forest Park with our friends from Clintyclay Primary School as part of our Shared education celebration day. The children thoroughly enjoyed exploring a trail of play parks and taking part in fun challenges throughout the day. 🀩

P7 celebrated world numeracy days with a selection of maths based activities. The day started with our P7’s showing off some of their maths magic tricks to all of the other classes and they did a fantastic job. Today some of our pupils travelled to Newtownhamilton to take part in a football tournament against a number of other local primary schools. All of the children played brilliantly, showing great teamwork and sportsmanship and most importantly had a fantastic time.
