We have all had a fantastic first day in Co. Down at the Kilbroney Centre. After room allocations and time to fine our bearings, we prepared for giant paddle boarding in the sea after lunch, with everybody working well together (16 children per board) to control the huge boards! Most impressive was the fact that every child and staff member plucked up the courage to jump in numerous times and even did some pier jumping too. One staff member even decided to swim the long distance to shore 🏊♂️
After dinner, team games were played on site and night-line exercises conducted with instructor Adam through the forest. All children have eaten well, made lots of new friends already and are quietly tucked up in bed, ready for a busy full day 2.
