Mixed Hockey Team

The mixed hockey team were at The George Compston tournament today at Ardmore. It was a very cold, wet and windy day which made it difficult to play hockey. However the children performed brilliantly in every match. We topped our group with 4 wins and 2 draws. Then we had to play Poyntzpass in the semi final which we won by a single goal. In the final we played Cortamlet who narrowly beat us one nil. We couldn’t be prouder of all the children who played their hearts out in the most awful weather. Their behaviour and manners all day were outstanding so well done to everyone. Thanks to all the parents who helped with transport and also to those who braved the cold to cheer us on.
