Primary 5 Trip to FE McWilliams Gallery

4th Mar 2026
We had such a great time last year that we made a return visit today to see Jason and his colleagues at the FE McWilliams Gallery in Banbridge.

Our morning journey on the bus brought us right outside the gallery where Jason and Debbie who led the workshops welcomed us warmly. We then made our way into the gallery and Debbie began to explain what we would be doing. The children made a brilliant house which fitted in so beautifully with our topic of my place in the world. They worked carefully, following all the instructions that were given to produce 17 very different houses. Debbie and her colleagues were so helpful and encouraging to all the children.

After our workshop Jason, Adam’s Uncle had to rescue Paula 🚽😁 which added to the memories of our day. We then went on a scavenger hunt around the gallery and did some sketching of the statues.

Jason and Debbie waved us off as we got back on the bus and headed for Scarva Park. The sun had come out which added to our enjoyment of eating our picnic on the grass and then having a run around.

A really brilliant trip which was so generous of the friends of FE McWilliams to allow us to go on again.
