Rainforest Topic in Primary 6 πΈπ³π
Primary 6 have been thoroughly enjoying their new topic, Rainforests!
So far they have been using iPads to identify the location of the different temperate and tropical rainforests of the world and to find out the conditions of each.
They have also been learning about the four layers of the rainforest. Everyone enjoyed using natural resources to build their own ‘Rainforest in a bottle’ with student teacher, Miss Bingham. After building their rainforests, they used torches to get an understanding of why some layers get more sunlight than others. They also used a spray bottle to see how rainwater travels to the different layers.
Most recently, they enjoyed a craft where they had to put different animals and insects in the layer of the rainforest they are most commonly found in.
Keep an eye out for what we get up to next! πΏ
