Remembrance in P6
11th Nov 2025
Primary 6 have been involved in lots of special activities to mark Remembrance.
They enjoyed taking part in a live lesson, delivered by Just2easy, which demonstrated how to create a shape poem using J2E Create. Everyone then spent time thinking about what it would have felt like when the war ended and peace was declared. After brainstorming their ideas, the children composed their poems which discuss peace and what it means to them.
They also made their own wreaths and decorated poppies for our classroom display.
Today, as a school, we stopped for a two-minute silence to reflect on the service and sacrifices the Armed Forces make on our behalf.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
