Primary 6/7 have been invited to participate in a program called Roots of Empathy. This program teaches our children about feelings, their own feelings, and the feelings of others.
Once every three weeks, baby Ella will be visiting our classroom, giving Primary 6/7 the opportunity to watch her grow as she reaches the natural developmental milestones of her first year of life.
The children will also be observing baby Ella and learning the cues a baby gives as to how they are feeling. This will lead to discussion as a lever for the children to talk about their own emotions and to notice how their classmates are feeling.
