World Book Day is always a fun-filled day in Hamiltonsbawn PS, and this year was no different!
Everyone made a fantastic effort to dress up as a character from their favourite book and demonstrated great imagination when asked to create a character using recycled materials!
We began our morning by joining the rest of the school in the assembly hall, where everyone got the opportunity to showcase their costumes and character creations! Even the staff dressed up!
Afterwards, we visited ‘Starbooks’ for a ‘book-tasting’ experience! Our library is packed full of beautiful books from a range of genres and very often, much like our coffee orders, we stick to the same thing! This experience allowed everyone to try out new genres by moving around four stations. Everyone completed a little review at each station and many were surprised by the genres they most enjoyed, with some even going back to get the book they sampled to continue reading it!
